Conditions of use of the aDios website and app.

Welcome to aDios, an app created by psychologists. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the services and content offered on the platform. By downloading, registering, subscribing to and/or using the app, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

0. Minimum age

Use of aDios is restricted to people over the age of 18. You declare that you are of legal age. Any false statement on this point may lead to the immediate cancellation of the account.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By downloading, registering, subscribing to and/or using aDios you agree to comply with these Terms and with our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the app.

2. Purpose and scope of aDios

aDios is an app designed to emotionally accompany people going through a grief process. Its aim is to offer a safe space for emotional expression, personal reflection and mutual accompaniment among people who are living through similar situations.

The platform enables:

  • Access to support groups by type of loss.
  • Access to theoretical and practical content related to grief.
  • Personal tools such as exercises and private writing spaces.
  • Interaction with other people going through similar processes.

aDios does not constitute a medical, psychological or therapeutic service, and does not in any case replace the care of mental health professionals.

3. User-generated content

The user is responsible for the content they publish in the app, including messages, texts, reflections and contributions in groups or personal tools.

aDios is not responsible for user-generated content, although it reserves the right to moderate, hide or remove any content it considers inappropriate, offensive, harmful or contrary to the purpose of the platform.

4. Acceptable use

The user agrees to use the app responsibly and in accordance with the law.

The following is expressly prohibited:

  • Posting offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or harmful content.
  • Using the app for unlawful purposes.
  • Inciting hate, violence or harm against third parties.
  • Using the platform for unauthorised commercial purposes.

aDios reserves the right to suspend or cancel accounts that breach these principles, and to report to the authorities any conduct that may constitute a crime.

5. Protection of personal data

Personal data provided by the user will be processed in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Spanish law.

Data may be used to:

  • Manage the user account.
  • Deliver the service.
  • Improve the user experience.
  • Send communications related to the service.

Data will not be sold or shared with third parties except where required by law. The user may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection through the channels set out in the Privacy Policy.

6. Payments, subscriptions and economic conditions

Use of the app requires a paid monthly subscription, activated voluntarily after account registration if the user decides to subscribe by pressing the corresponding button.

The subscription renews automatically each month, unless expressly cancelled by the user before the renewal date.

In addition, participation in the Support Group (SG) programs may require an additional payment managed through the corresponding enrolment form.

No refunds are made for payments already processed, except where required by law.

The user may cancel their subscription at any time from their account, retaining access until the end of the paid period, and may also delete the account.

7. Limitation of liability

aDios does not provide diagnosis, psychotherapy, treatment or clinical or psychological advice. The content and tools offered are informative and complementary.

Support groups are led by psychology professionals with accredited experience in groups and grief; they act independently and are responsible for the flow and content of each group session.

The platform facilitates access to and organisation of these groups, but does not directly provide healthcare services. Participation is voluntary and does not replace individual psychological care when needed.

If the user experiences a crisis situation, suicidal ideation or risk to their own safety or that of others, they must immediately contact emergency services or mental health professionals. aDios does not handle such cases and cannot intervene beyond immediately advising the user to contact the relevant health services.

aDios is not responsible for misuse of the platform or for personal decisions taken by users based on the content available.

8. Intellectual property

All content available in the app, including texts, images, logos, software, design, structure, methodology, functional logic and training materials, is the property of the entity that owns aDios and is protected by applicable law.

Reproduction, distribution, modification or unauthorised use of the content outside personal use of the app is not permitted.

9. Changes to the Terms

aDios reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the app after such changes implies acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. In the event of a dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals of Spain.

11. Contact

For any question related to these Terms, please contact us through the email address indicated in the app or on the official aDios website.
