A silent reality
Grief is still something we almost always go through in silence.
About aDios
01
Grief is part of life.
You don't have to go through it alone.
Grief is still something we almost always go through in silence.
Sooner or later, we all live through a meaningful loss. No one should feel alone on this path.
We created a calm, rigorous and human space for when the world breaks apart. No rush, no magical promises, no empty phrases.
Share what you're going through with people who understand it. Here you are not alone.
Practical tools and content to understand, express and move forward. And if you need it, close professional support.
It's not about forgetting the person who is no longer here, but about opening a new way of living, weaving the loss into your story and continuing to grow.
To keep going, honouring what was and choosing a new way of living each day.

02
We believe grief is not something to be cured, but to be accompanied. And pain is not something to avoid but something to transform into love. The way we work rests on three pillars that run through everything we do.
Respect
Every person lives their grief at their own pace. There are no mandatory stages, no correct timings. We listen before we suggest. For us, what you write deserves the same care as what you feel.
Scientific evidence
All resources and content are based on up-to-date clinical and psychological research. No magic recipes, no pseudo-therapies.
Humanity
aDios works with people and was created for them. We care about the environment, the sensations, the language and the pace you need to take. In the practical resources we treat what you write with real attention — your words deserve the same care as what you feel. We also care about the aesthetics and the tone so that you feel comfortable and calm in this space.
03
Every grief journey is different. That is why aDios brings together different tools you can use whenever you need them, always respecting your rhythm and your own way of living the loss.
Journal
An intimate space to write, reflect and hold on to what is meaningful to you.
Practical Resources
Resources created by psychologists to help you understand the emotions of grief and learn strategies that can support you day to day.
Continuing Bonds
A space to keep alive the memory of the person who is no longer here and to build a new relationship with that bond, from love and meaning.
Community
Because sharing with people who have lived similar experiences can help us feel understood and less alone.
We facilitate professional support
When you need it, you'll be able to access Support Programs guided by psychologists specialised in grief.
There is no single way to live grief. aDios puts different tools at your disposal so that you can find the ones that best accompany you in each moment.

04
At aDios we believe that accompanying grief requires sensitivity, but also knowledge.
That is why our content, exercises and programs draw on psychological models and research that have helped us understand better how we experience losses and how we can learn to integrate them into our story.
Today we know that moving through a loss doesn't mean forgetting. Keeping a healthy bond with the person who is no longer here can be a natural part of the adaptation process.
Putting what we live through into words can help us understand our emotions, organise the experience and build meaning.
Understanding our emotions is the first step towards relating to them in a healthier way.
Feeling understood by people who have lived similar experiences can reduce the sense of loneliness and support the process of adaptation.
The content of aDios is developed drawing on current psychological research and on the clinical experience of professionals specialised in grief.
aDios is a living project. We are committed to continuing to improve, to research and to scientifically evaluate our tools, so that we can offer accompaniment that is ever more useful and respectful.
Psychology helps us to understand grief. People help us to accompany it. Technology connects both. At aDios we believe the three must always walk together.

aDios was born from an initial idea that came to me one day while listening to a radio program. It spoke of the deep emotional low experienced by people in isolation due to the impossibility of sharing grief over the loss of a loved one. It occurred to me to offer a space and a human context using digital technologies and mobile devices to bring it to every person who finds themselves alone in this process. I think that this need should be within reach, just like other less relevant needs, in my opinion, are. From there, I contrasted the idea with people around me and contacted my professor at the University of Girona, Mónica Cunill, teacher of the Psychology of Grief subject in the Psychology Degree in 2016. She immediately connected with the idea and offered to collaborate with me, putting her experience and knowledge about loss processes at my disposal. Since then, I have been working for almost a year to develop the application you have in your hands, which will be released to the public in its first version in August 2026.

05
We live in a time when much of our digital lives revolve around entertainment, immediacy and distraction.
aDios was created to offer something different. A place to pause. To understand. To write. To remember. To share. To grow.
We don't want to compete for your attention. We want the time you spend here to have a real impact on your life.
We believe technology can do far more than keep us connected. It can bring people closer together. It can help us understand ourselves. It can become a bridge between science and humanity.
Because we didn't design an app for you to spend more time in front of a screen. We designed it so that the time you spend here can help you live a little better. We are also aware that many digital platforms are designed to maximise engagement. That is not our goal. We do not want our chats to become spaces of complaint or self-reinforcing victimhood. That would not be helpfull at all to anyone facing a loss. Instead, we encourage responsibility, mutual support and personal growth. This is one of the principles that defines aDios.
We don't want to take up more time in your life. We want the time you spend with aDios to make a real difference in it.

06
We believe a project like aDios must be as human as it is rigorous.
That is why our commitment doesn't end with building an app. We want to understand, measure and continuously improve the real impact it can have on people's lives.
We are aware of the potential value of this project, and we also believe it must be scientifically evaluated in order to understand its effectiveness, refine its tools and contribute to the wider knowledge about accompaniment in grief processes.
There are currently research projects being prepared, including Master's Dissertations, linked to different universities and to professionals interested in scientifically evaluating the model of accompaniment developed by aDios. This will be the beginning of a research line that we hope to gradually broaden through new studies and academic collaborations.
When one person's experience helps us to better understand that of many others, it can take on a value that goes beyond the person who lived it.
